Running over one hundred and fifty minutes late following issues

in the Carstairs area as too often appears to be the case, the up Highland Sleeper passes Roade some forty minutes from its destination at Euston. I have travelled on various sleepers but never one running this late. I wonder when this situation occurs if guests are permitted to stay in their cabins for the extra time or if they are woken and asked to vacate at the expected normal time of arrival...advise?
