the morning would have produced a slightly better photograph of 46100 'Royal Scot' but the sun had just gone round too far so as to not illuminate the side of the locomotive necessitating some Photoshop work to bring some detail back to the deep shadows. The former LMS Stanier was working the 07.57 Crewe HS to Southall positioning complete with a support coach in order to work the following day's 'Severn Valley Enterprise' charter from Paddington to Kidderminster.
