A bit of an identity thing going on here! 90039 is on-hire to Caledonian Sleeper in order to haul the 20.44 Inverness/21.43 Aberdeen/19.50 Fort William to London Euston sleeper. However, the EWS branded and rather tatty looking Class 90 is itself being operated by DB Schenker who acquired EWS back in November 2007. The train is seen passing south near Roade in Northamptonshire with the early morning light just beginning to illuminate the scene so it's shame that I have fluffed the composure partly caused by me teetering on my step ladder trying to avoid the palisade fencing getting in the frame; that's my excuse anyway!
