Bowesfield signal box (NE, 1905) The impressively large Bowsfield signal box is seen taken standing looking over a wall of a recently completed housing estate. The box is a typical later design of North Eastern box dating from 1905 with its simpler lines. It contains a number of IFS panels no longer controlling semaphores at the busy triangular junction just to the right in this view.
