Blaydon signal box (NE, not known) Another view of Blaydon signal box with the former freight route to Gateshead passing the old 'rear' of the box. These are now the only lines now in operation with the former ‘front’ of the box facing the trees. I do not have a note of the date of construction of the NER Type N2 box but I suspect it to be around 1900 unless anybody can supply me with the information?
