66739, 22.27 Willesden West London Junction-Bescot Yard (6G50, 3L), Roade Hill
High summer in south Northamptonshire! With just one small and lone cloud in an otherwise clear blue sky GBRf's 66739 'Bluebell Railway' passes Roade Hill between Milton Keynes and Northampton. It is leading the 6G50 22.27 Willesden to Bescot engineering train returning from overnight work in the north London area. Whilst it's nice to be out and about in such weather this image illustrates the perils for the photographer with very deep shadows, almost over-saturation and intense reflection that nearly made identification of the locomotive's number impossible!
