Brampton Fell signal box (NE, 1918) Brampton Fell signal box is located at a delightfully rural spot where the B6413 road crosses the Carlisle to Newcastle line at fifty miles and ten chains from the latter. The 1918 North Eastern Railway box contains its original twenty lever McKenzie & Holland frame only which of three are in use today. There used to be an up and a down refuge siding but these fell out of use and were removed in the early 1970s.
