Shelford station is built in a classic eastern counties style

utilising London stock bricks that many station buildings (and others) used throughout the late Victorian times in this part of the country. The station is now used as an Indian restaurant that, unfortunately, we did not sample. Just an interesting aside, Shelford's one-time station master was a certain Reginald Hall who was the father of the renowned theatre director Sir Peter Hall.
