Wearing its bright orange and yellow Colas livery 86701 'Orion'

stands in the sidings amongst the rampant buddleia awaiting an uncertain future. A couple of years ago it was repainted and overhauled for use on a proposed night freight service in and out of Euston utilising former Motorail side loading wagons. Whilst some trials took place the project was not pursued. There is discussion that 86701 and a number of other AL6 locomotives could join some other compatriots in Bulgaria.
