Once a double track to mainline standards linking the Midland

route at Wichnor Junction with Walsall via Lichfiled this is all that is left! The single track continues on for a few miles through ever-increasing amounts of undergrowth to a point where was last in use in Brownhills. The last train to traverse the route and cross this level crossing at Fosseway was in the spring of 2003. There is ambitious and persuasive plans to reopen the line but I suspect that this one will never happen.
