86259, the outward leg of 'The Cumbrian Mountain Express', 07.10 London Euston-Carlisle (1Z86, 26L), site of Roade station
On such a dull morning it was pleasing that 86259
'Les Ross/Peter Pan' was leading this train painted in a combination of such bright colours! Its Electric Blue paint scheme certainly lifts it from the dreary background and the equally dull stock making for a reasonable photograph. It is seen passing the site of Roade station leading the outward leg of the 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' that left Euston at 07.10 heading for Carnforth where 35018 'British India Line' would lead the charter on to Carlisle.
