On a dull and grey June morning (like so many

this summer!) 66559 leads the 4L52 03.25 Garston to London Gateway past the site of Roade station. Coming up to its twentieth birthday this member of the class was emitting a lot of visual exhaust and, as can be seen here, it is looking a little tatty. One wonders if some extra heavy attention is needed rather like in the good old days of BR when locomotives had complete overhauls more resembling a nut and bolt rebuild.
