The 4L97 06.15 Trafford Park to Felixstowe Freightliner service came to a halt at Rugby station just as Andy and I were about to get our next onward train. It is being led by a pair of the former Greater Anglia Class 90s now demoted from top link passenger work to freight duties. Still wearing its plates 90012 'The East Anglian' is second with 90012 leading. The Class 90s taken on by Freightliner at their Crewe Basford Hall base have completely ousted the veteran Class 86s that are now stored in various conditions.
