However, as a railway enthusiast, I am very keen on the continued existence of the Royal Train. I feel that it is vastly underused and it is regarded as a costly extravagance and as such, there is frequent talk of its scrapping. It is maintained at Wolverton Works and this is where it is seen returning to from Derby passing through Northampton station. 66005 'Queen's Messenger' is leading the formation of adapted Mk.
