With the road now closed for some five months during which time the bridge will be replaced no doubt with some modern structure hardly in keeping with the Midland Railway seen here. A Meridian passes the scene working the 11.29 Sheffield to St. Pancras service. It was the contractor seen in the scene undertaking vegetation clearance who took exception to my presence taking photographs stating that he had called the BTP to have me removed; needless to say they did not appear!
