Having just alighted from the 12.00 York to Scarborough TPE service at Malton I turned my camera towards the Nova 3 set. It is being led by a DVT with a very noisy Class 68 at the rear. I must say that the front end design of this DVT, a modified Mk. IV coach, is very clumsy appearing as if it has lost some sort of cover over the draw gear above the buffers! The travelling experience inside the train was, however, excellent with it being eerily quiet but again spoilt by the all too common hard seating. However, my travelling companion did comment on the extreme noise emanating from 68021 as it left Malton station, something that has not gone unnoticed by many others!
