It is difficult to see in this photograph but this member of the thirty-one stong class is still in its GNER paint scheme but with and a white strip and East Coast branding. I believe that this is the last member of the class still in the same dark blue as was the Venice-Simplon Orient Express European luxury train operation which was also owned by GNER’s parent company Sea Containers.
