Frontage, Ipswich station
Frontage, Ipswich station
The rather grand frontage of Ipswich station is a typical Great Eastern design and built using similar materials to most in this era in this part of the country. There appears to be some debate as to who designed it with many crediting local entrepreneur Peter Bruff (1812–1900) but others recognising it to be the work of Sancton Wood (1815–1886); it is certainly in a style more reminiscent of his work.
