222020 'City of Derby' slows for its stop at Kettering working the 1D19 09.29 St. Pancras to Nottingham. This rather anonymous photograph makes a fascinating comparison to one that I took back in 1978. Whilst the positioning is not quite the same (I had walked off the end of platform one then) and the trees have grown the lamp posts still stand ready to illuminate the once extensive yards and sidings that have now been removed, indeed I was standing just in front of the lamp post emerging from the roof of the Meridian, see.... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/29663552804/kettering-station-signal-box-curve
