I retrospect I did not really quite get the positioning of 86259 'Les Ross/Peter Pan' quite right with a tree growing out of its roof! Last-minute I decided to ramp the shutter speed up instead of trying a pan shot as I decided that I was too far away for that. Wrong decision, I should have tracked the locomotive in the viewfinder, cropped it down and said tree would have been far less obtrusive! The Class 86 is leading the outward leg of The Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express past Blisworth just north of Roade cutting. It was removed at Carnforth for Black 5 46115 'Scots Guardsman' taking over for the run over Shap to Carlisle and then to return south via the Settle and Carlisle route to Farrington Junction.
