A side of Paddington station rarely viewed by passers-by is

the one seen from London Street that leads to the new taxi rank at the far end of the northern side of the station. The large lettering atop the building is a slightly later typeface used during the period 1934 to 1942 that is similar but not the same as the commonly associated Swindon Egyptian version used a little earlier.
