47205, running as 47395, 12.00 Pitsford & Brampton return, Pitsford & Brampton station 2014 New Year's Day is pretty poor with miserable weather but at least we have got out! 47205 stands at Pitsford and Brampton station having worked the 11.00 return 'Mince Pie (and sherry!) Special'. 47205 is the railway's mainstay diesel locomotive with long term resident 31289 currently out of service and receiving some much-needed restoration work. As 205 it was withdrawn by Freightliner in late 2001 entering preservation in 2004. The NLR run the loco. as 47395 at this end as BR renumbered it as this from March 1994 until July 1995 during its time as a Channel Tunnel DEAT pool locomotive adapted for multiple working identified by the ugly jumper connection in the centre of the headcode plate.
