To our delight we found 55017 'The Durham Light Infantry' had just arrived with the 1D04 17.05 from King's Cross. For some reason, I did not take a photograph of the locomotive so this one is kindly supplied by Graham. 55017 was one of the Deltics that survived until the end on 31.12.81. Unfortunately, it was not one of the preserved few being broken up at Doncaster two years later in January 1983.
