On leaving Glaisdale station I directed my camera back towards the rather attractive NER station building. Then and now the building is a private residence. I have in my contemporary notes that there was a pile of building materials on the platform, out of view in this shot, appearing to indicate that the dreaded BR bus shelter was about to be constructed.
