During our walk, we watched the 11.45 Sheringham to Holt North Norfolk Railway service pass between us and the North Sea in the background on the edge of Weybourne Woods. The apple green painted ex LNER locomotive was the final example of the class to be withdrawn in 1961 some two years after the rest of the class had been taken out of service. It arrived at the fledgling North Norfolk Railway in 1967 and has been here ever since. As can be seen here it is yet another grey and cloudy day, a pattern of weather that characterised our week away - you can't win them all!
