55001 'The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers' leads the 08.05 King's Cross to Hull express past Essendine on the southern flank of Stoke bank. The Deeltics were as well suited to these shorter diagrams with plenty of stops and starts as they were to to the longer distance workings with more sustained periods of high speed running.
