It states, in the small print, that 43047 was the first power car to receive a replacement Paxman VP185 engine back in 1995 installed at Neville Hill. This power car was the first of a second batch released into service on the Western Region in March 1977 as part of set 253023. In this photograph, the power car is about to leave Nottingham at the rear of the 1B38 11.45 to St. Pancras.
