Looking decidedly tatty, not surprising really, 43238 arrives at Derby leading the 1C35 10.29 Sheffield to St. Pancras service. This former LNER power car still wearing the bright Virgin East Coast livery is in its final months of service prior to the introduction of new stock once the electrification between Bedford, Kettering and Corby is completed. Andy and I were not ready for this train to be an HST as it was scheduled to be a Meridian so obviously something had gone wrong in the train planning office earlier.
