Oh, for the glory of droplights! About to pass the Teignmouth down-home, the South Devon sea wall is seen looking forward towards Sprey Point. Whilst the train and immediate foreground is in deep shadow with the sun having set it is still just managing to catch the Permian red sandstone above Parson's tunnel in the distance. The evening promenaders will be enjoying the English Electric soundtrack of 50027 'Lion' leading our train, the 16.23 Penzance to Paddington substituting for an HST. My travelling companion and technical drawing teacher, Mr. Brush, is seen leaning from the coach in front also with his camera poised to take a similar photograph to myself!
