Despite being named, the Class 47 appears to have lost its plates, on this side at least. This glorious scene is at Aller Junction a short distance south of Newton Abbot. The train is composed of thirteen Mk.I coaches with today's equivalent being a Class 800 IET made up of five carriages containing quite appalling seats.
