253021, 09.25 London Paddington-Penzance, Cowley Bridge Junction I would probably have cursed the HST working the 09.25 Paddington to Penzance as it came around the curve at Cowley Bridge Junction as I was hoping for a Class 50 or at worst a 47! However, I am pleased that I did take a photograph of 253021 as some forty years on HSTs have now disappeared from this route along with the superb signal box and semaphores. The black and white timbered New Inn is still there and trading but I suspect that most of the cars in its car park including a Mini van and a Mk.I VW Scirocco have all gone to the great car graveyard.
