I had been tracking the progress of this 5H70 working from Derby to Wolverton for an hour or so and was determined to get out and see it as it was such a lovely morning. Postings indicated that it had five barrier coaches in tow so I judged that it would just fit in this view at the site of Roade's former station. Looking very smart in its Rail Operations Group livery, 47812 approaches the end of its journey to Wolverton conveying the barriers - a little later involved in the repatriation of a Class 442 back to Eastleigh after refurbishment. I have a picture of this particular Class 47 taken much earlier in its life back in 1977 at Bradford-on-Avon when it was running as 47239, see.....
