A somewhat blurred photograph of Cudworth North Junction signal box

taken as we rattle past on our West Wilts Scout Special to York. The Midland signal box has been re-roofed with the finials not being reinstated and it appears to have had some windows blanked off giving it a slightly unbalanced and odd look. The line curving off behind the box led to Stairfoot Junction just to the east of Barnsley and, along with the Midland route that we are traversing, is long closed with part of the thirty-two mile Dearne Way taking the trackbed.
