A close up of new Merseyrail unit 777009 (with 777005 just going out of shot) passing Roade being dragged to its new home running as the 6X29 02.44 Dollands Moor to Kirkdale. The delivery of these Stadler built units is now chronically late in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic but, more importantly, because of software issues with the units on testing. Is it me or does this issue afflict all new trains these days? Notice that the driver's door of 777005 is partially open. Given the heavy and persistent rain experienced I hope that the dampness has not got into the cab and interfered with the very sensitive electrics and software creating further problems!
