Passing through the Northamptonshire countryside on a hot summer's day 68013 and 68008 'Avenger' are seen about to go under Victoria bridge near Roade as the 0K99 09.35 Wembley to Crewe Gresty Bridge. The first of the two locomotives is in its Chiltern livery being operated by them but owned and maintained by DRS hence its move from North London to Crewe for an examination or maintenance of some kind. As the trailing Class 68 is one of two DRS liveried locos fitted with American Railroads (AAR) push-pull equipment allowing them to operate Mk.IIIs I suspect that this was heading north for the same reason as 68013.
