88002, 13.50 DIRFT-Mossend (4L45, 5E), Gordon`s Lodge For the final week (of four) the 4L45 Daventry to Mossend Tesco Express is seen heading south on the WCML - the first part of its convoluted journey to Scotland. As per last week, it is being led by 88002 'Prometheus' this time past Gordon's Lodge a short distance north of Hanslope Junction. Unfortunately, the train is fairly lightly loaded with all the wagons towards the rear that does nothing for the composition of the photograph! The foreground is dominated by a forest of cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) that seems to have enjoyed a very strong season this year. After negotiating the plant and waist-high nettles I was able to get back to my bike and endure a wet ride home bumping into Richard Denny at Victoria bridge.
