47749 & 360105, 11.10 Ilford EMUD-Northampton EMD (7Q60, 2L), Gordon`s Lodge As I was watching this train approach and pass under the bridge at Gordon's Lodge through the viewfinder it was moving very slowly and looked just like so many trains that I had photographed back in the 1970s and 1980s! Indeed, as a West Country lad, I will have seen this particular locomotive so many times in an earlier guise as 47076 being one of the fifteen named Western Region members of the class. Now as 47749 'City of Truro' it is seen leading the 7Q60 that is hauling a former Greater Anglia Desiro 360105 from its former base at Ilford to Northampton. I am unsure as to why exactly this move was taking place but it is to do with its future use on the MML between Corby and London St. Pancras.
