me. I have only one other photograph of it and that was a poor one with it being the second locomotive double-heading a freight at Marholm way back in 2010. It is seen here passing Roade leading an unusual working that looks for all intents and purposes like a perfectly normal up Freightliner. However, this is the 4M49 16.50 Daventry to Grangemouth that is taking a circuitous route to reach Scotland via London and the ECML. With no air conditioning in the cabs and continued complaints from drivers about unpleasant conditions, as is usual on hot days, they will drive with the cab doors open to aid ventilation. I am not sure if this is allowed according to the rule book!
