For a number of months, a collection of ex London Overground's Class 315 EMUs have been, as what is colloquially referred to, in 'warm storage'. As part of this storage, the units are periodically run to maintain their operational condition. Just south of Roade at Ashton Road bridge 315533 and 315578 head south towards Bletchley where they will return again as the 5Q21 11.53 Northampton EMUD return working. I am not absolutely sure as to why these units are being stored. If anybody can update with the thinking behind it, please contact me via
