This is not because I like them, in fact, the opposite is true, but their time working trains on the line is now limited. Like so many things on the railways their service to both Virgin and, more recently, Avanti West Coast will be lost in the sands of history. In their more common and double-manned formation, a pair of units head north about to pass under Ashton Road bridge near Roade working the 11.43 Euston to Preston.
