Just as the diverted 14.10 DIRFT to Mossend 'Tesco Express'

approached my location on Roade Hill the sun dived behind a large cloud. Rather than take another disappointing shaded photograph I went down on my haunches and focused on the cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) in the foreground to alter the interest slightly. I would have liked a little more of the cow parsley and the train to be in focus but at 1/2000 sec shutter speed, there was not enough depth of field at the aperture (f5.6). With a little more time I could have ramped the ISO up from 500 to perhaps 1600 and that would have got the depth of field required to get more of the image in focus. 88010 'Aurora' leads 68016 'Fearless' on the heavily diverted and late working service that is heading south to London before then heading north up the ECML to Scotland.
