With a livery that is certainly quite a contrast to

the lush spring greenery, Merseyrail 777004 passes on the down slow line between Roade and Ashton in Northamptonshire. It is continuing its journey from the Stadler factory at Bussnang, located in the northeast of Switzerland, to its new base at Kirkdale in Liverpool. The units should have been entering service by now but their introduction has been blighted by delays and, consequently, the first passengers will not use them for some time yet.
