After finishing their shift clearing the overhanging vegetation in Roade

cutting two workers head back along the up fast line at the site of Roade cutting with all their kit. They are using a John Deere crossover all-terrain utility vehicle adapted for rail use by Gator Harsco Track Technologies in Essex. These handy vehicles have a drawbar capacity that allows each Gator to pull either a pair of cable drum trailers, five personnel carriers (for up to thirty people), three loaded flat trolleys, five-sixty feet rails or a mix, up to its maximum load of five thousand six hundred kilograms. After unloading all their kit, a relief crew took over and headed back the other way for an afternoon shift in the cutting.
