speed needed here as the overnight 4L99 Coatbridge to Felixstowe Freightliner was at a walking pace approaching a red signal on the up fast line between the villages of Roade and Ashton. The adverse signal was because the 4L52 that was just in front of it had also slowed for the approach to Hanslope Junction to cross from the fast to the slow leaving 86639 and 86637 to continue fast beyond Milton Keynes and, in doing so, thus overtaking the preceding working. The sun is struggling to break through the slightly hazy sky at this stage that has just taken the edge off the lighting.
