Like the previous signal box, Auchterarder also took some finding! Located off a narrow country lane and up a private road leading to a car and commercial body repairs and refinishers Andy and I managed to track it down. It is a classically styled Caledonian box dating from 1895. In the bottom right-hand corner, partially concealed by the undergrowth, is the ground disc signal sixteen which could be cleared for a movement either into the siding or 'through the road' on to the Up line. However, whilst the crossover still exists, I am not sure if the siding survives?
