Errol station was run down in typical BR style during

the 1970s eventually closing in September 1985. It was turned into a coffee shop and craft store that ran to about 2000 when the station became a private residence as is the case today. The former platforms are now extremely overgrown but the station remains in good condition with the cast-iron latticed footbridge still in place but devoid of wooden flooring that may well deter people from crossing the tracks!
