This is the first time that I have been able to get below the footbridge that spans the line at the site of Roade's former station. Here, 66501 'Japan 2001' passes leading the 03.52 Garston to London Gateway Freightliner service. As usual, notice the general detritus left behind by contractors including plant machinery, bags of unused ballast, drainage pipes and, rather randomly, a wheelie bin!
