The structure of the long-closed Highgate station is seen over

the retaining wall of the London Underground station car park. Access to the former platforms is now all but impossible apart from if one joins one of London Transport Museum's hidden London tours. However, Highgate is not currently on offer but it has been in the past. The last passengers used the station in July 1954 with the tracks remaining in use for a number of years afterwards. The Northern Line passes straight underneath the former station perpendicular to where I am standing.
