As a prelude to repairs to the embankments just south

of Roade a team of contractors have been busy clearing all the trees and vegetation from them. This has dramatically opened up the views of the line and has offered some new photographic opportunities. In this scene, the contractors have just about cleared the small copse atop the embankment readying the area for work to be undertaken.
