An unidentified class 390 weaves its way through Roade cutting with the 09.38 Glasgow to Euston 1M05 working. The stone bridge in the background is locally referred to as Accommodation or Thorpe Wood Bridge and is a remote spot crossed by a footpath. The green structure in the middle distance is an aqueduct carrying a stream across the cutting that has recently undergone extensive repairs and painting by Network Rail due to it being more like a colander than an aqueduct!
